Narrative:
Anne Lynch joined Hunsucker Goodstein & Nelson PC in 2006. Ms. Lynch practices in the Environmental Litigation and Regulatory Actions and the Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith practice areas.

Ms. Lynch has represented both private and government clients on a variety of environmental litigation and transactional issues. She represented the State of North Carolina in air pollution litigation against the Tennessee Valley Authority, including active participation in the trial in federal court. Ms. Lynch has also represented clients in PCB-contaminated sediment matters, brownfield remediation projects, and contaminated groundwater and soil matters. Ms. Lynch’s environmental litigation experience includes the preparation and analysis of expert reports, drafting discovery requests and responses, working with government agencies for production and certification of records, preparation of expert and fact witnesses for deposition and trial testimony, motion practice on both evidentiary and dispositive issues, and deposing and cross-examining expert witnesses.

While at the Georgetown University Law Center, Ms. Lynch participated in the Institute for Public Representation environmental litigation clinic, representing several regional Waterkeepers, and was an executive editor of the Georgetown International Environmental Law Review and Vice President and Treasurer of the Environmental Law Forum.

North Carolina v. Tennessee Valley Authority, --- 593 F. Supp. 2d 812 (W.D.N.C. Jan. 13, 2009); Represented the State of North Carolina with the North Carolina Department of Justice in a public nuisance action against coal-fired power plants for additional air pollution controls to protect public health and the environment.

North Carolina v. Tennessee Valley Authority, 593 F. Supp. 2d 812 (W.D.N.C. 2008) (denying TVA's motion for summary judgment and partially granting North Carolina's motion for summary judgment on affirmative defenses).

North Carolina v. Tennessee Valley Authority, 2008 WL 2115159 (WDNC May 16, 2008) (denying motion for reconsideration of the Court's denial of TVA's motion for summary judgment)

North Carolina v. Tennessee Valley Authority, --- F. Supp. 2d ---, 2009 WL 77998 (W.D.N.C. Jan. 13, 2009) (holding that four of TVA's coal-fired power plants closest to North Carolina are causing a public nuisance in North Carolina and ordering TVA to install additional air pollution controls on those plants).
