Narrative:
David Rabbino has more than 20 years of experience in environmental law and has been selected by his peers as one of Northern California Super Lawyers in Environmental Litigation in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010. He manages cases for both plaintiffs and defendants in the environmental risks practices area, as well as environmental coverage actions. In addition, he assists clients in complying with environmental laws and the redevelopment of contaminated real property, known as “Brownfields.”

Mr. Rabbino is also one of the lead attorneys in the Sustainable Energy Practice Group, advising clients on the laws governing the installation of renewable energy systems, as well as negotiating Power Purchase Agreements and contracts relating to the financing of renewable energy systems.

Mr. Rabbino joined Hunsucker Goodstein & Nelson PC in 2001 after a distinguished 11-year career at the United States Environmental Protection Agency. During that time he was awarded a Certificate of Commendation for Outstanding Performance and Assistance by the U.S. Department of Justice, as well as numerous Superior Accomplishment Recognition Awards by the Office of Regional Counsel, U.S. EPA, Region IX. While with the EPA, he represented the federal government in the prosecution of complex multi-party cases under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), and matters under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Clean Air Act, and the Clean Water Act.

Mr. Rabbino was also involved in the development of national policy on various Superfund enforcement issues during his tenure as an enforcement attorney at U.S. EPA headquarters in Washington, DC.

Before joining the U.S. EPA in 1990, Mr. Rabbino was a trial attorney with an insurance defense firm in New York City.
